USEFUL & Positive Alternatives to “Have A Safe Flight” (+ Flight Tips)

Every now and then I find myself thinking about the phrase have a safe flight.

Where does the saying come from? Because it often occurs to me how strange it sounds sometimes, especially when you consider how safe flying is these days. Please tell me I’m not the only one!

So today I’m shaking things up! I promise myself to stop saying “have a safe flight” and wish a happier journey to my loved ones.

With that said, let’s jump right in!

Bring disposable sanitizer and wipes

• These are game changers!! I discovered these a few months ago and I never leave home without them! These disposable packs are so easy to keep in your pocket and you can get 2-3 uses out of each pack.
• As for wipes, don’t sit down without wiping down the seat, screen, and any other high-touch surface. These are the wipes I’ve been using for years — in fact, I keep a pack in my travel bag and suitcase.

Do yourself a favor and get an airplane footrest

• Have you heard of these before? Game changer! I discovered it airplane footrest before an international flight and now refuse to fly without it.

Bring a sleeping kit

• Sometimes the plane is too bright for a good rest or the noises can keep you awake. I suggest getting a small one sleeping kit before your flight — it will make things much easier.

Noise canceling headphones are a game changer

• As I mentioned before, noises are not unusual in an airplane. If you want to distract yourself with pre-downloaded movies and music, you’ll need good noise-canceling headphones for the flight. Here is the pair I use — expensive, I know, but worth every penny.

Take Emergen-C with you

• I take it several days before the flight and several days after. As you know, the airport is a germy place! Here it is classical and the type I am using.

Arrive early

• Arrive 2 hours early, at worst, you’ll have time to enjoy a book (coffee in hand) or scroll on your phone. Better than running to the airport like crazy!
