We know many are asking the question… What can we expect in our free 15 minute consultation? What will we discuss?
We just want to emphasize that we are really here to help you get through it… Whether you plan to come alone or come with your partner for dating, pre-marital, couples or sex therapy we are here to support you. We know it can be very scary to call and ask for help, but counseling is different from treatment, so don’t worry we’re not really going to dive that deep. However, the consultation is an opportunity for me to answer questions and logistics about our potential collaboration, and hopefully, at the end of the 15 minutes, we will understand whether we can help you and you. You will know if you are comfortable and if you feel there is a connection to make a decision that it is a good fit. If it’s a good fit, let’s go ahead and get you on an appointment and we can discuss what that might entail.
Remember that when scheduling either couples or premarital or sex therapy, you need to be sure that your partner is readily available at the time of the consultation so that you are both present. Remember, it’s harder to do couples therapy with just one of you there, and we’d love to see you both. So take into account the time you set and make sure your partner can attend. You and your partner decide to do it together, and if you do, you can make a huge difference in your relationship.
